Something as easy as stremio but for music. Connect to listenbrainz instead of trakt. Then only serve from the spotify collection because of their extensive metadata. With multi device sign in and syncing like stremio. Then a Kodi add on for the libreelec people.
- Comment on Someone has a LOT of dusty computers 1 week ago:
People doing duster are not usually the same people doing nitrous. In my years of working in a hospital, duster addicts were the worst of the drug addicts mentally and physically.
- Comment on It Only Takes A Handful Of Samples To Poison Any Size LLM, Anthropic Finds 2 weeks ago:
like the LLM that was finding cancers and people were initially impressed but then they figured out the LLM had just correlated a DR’s name on the scan to a high likelihood of cancer. Once the complicating data point was removed, the LLM no longer performed impressively. Point #2 is very Goodhart’s law adjacent.

As I write this, your comment is the lowest rated in the thread and the highest rated comment is someone making the same point but quoting a comedian.

I’ve used this the last 8 days and have really liked it. Takes away some of the friction to journaling.
- Comment on Don't throw away your old PC—it makes a better NAS than anything you can buy 4 weeks ago:
You can use it as a smb server and mount it with your other devices. They have an official addon for it with samba in the name.

Nice app. Very intuitive and does not get in the way. I don’t see the integrations tab in my settings like in the immich integration vid. I am very interested in that feature.

- Comment on Is a budget 3-2-1 home-server backup (one NAS + one cloud + weekly clones) actually enough, or am I kidding myself? 1 month ago:
My off-site is an old laptop plugged into my sister’s router. I connect to it through tailscale.
- Comment on Is it insane to run a home server on an old laptop instead of a Raspberry Pi for self-hosting - what do I need to worry about? 1 month ago:
I use laptops a lot for servers. They have batteries and keyboard/monitors if you can’t ssh in for some reason. No reason not to use something you have
