Well quantum mechanics are a little bit beyond the material and in reality many of the principles of science transcend into other scientific disciplines so it makes most sense that the spiritual/ non corporeal/ extra dimensional realm(s) would have similar constraints. But whatever you want to believe/ whatever makes you comfortable and or happy.
