FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 1 year agoThat’s not really the point. The footage from the camera has to be stored somewhere. Either locally or remotely. If it’s remote, there’s a chance of it leaking. If it’s local, the machine it’s on could get stolen. So again, I don’t know what the solution is.

If you’re worried about physical theft then you’ll want to enable encryption on the storage drives.
