_LordMcNuggets_@feddit.org 4 weeks agoyeah fully agree. with that logic though there shouldn’t be any excuses for people not to be able to join Lemmy because its “too technical”. following instructions and taking the initiative of following / learning about your curiosities are two separate things.

Eh. I would wager they just don’t want to. Which is fine. But lots of people rather than saying they don’t want. Say they don’t know how. As an excuse.

yeah 100% agree. we have a saying in Switzerland (probably Germanic in general), “being dumb is one thing, staying dumb is another”. maybe not the perfect thing to draw upon but the syntax is the same 😂
