Nah, Lemmy as a whole has nothing to do with politics, politics just happen to flood into everything when large political shit is happening in the world. Also I don’t feel a lot of the discussions are dissenting, they are just varied because they come from multiple places. For example climate change. It isn’t a dissenting discussion to any normal person. Hell there is a article about migrating a group of 11,500 people because water levels rising. That’s just happening. The dissenting view I would have to say is that they aren’t moving those people because the water isn’t rising? Idk
