I miss the days when more people around me were worried about people wearing socks in sandles, high socks, no show socks, wrong colored socks, non matching socks, toe socks… Come to think of it I knew a lot of people who spent more time than me looking at people’s socks

I miss when I could be ignorant, or oblivious to widespread issues. Some people focus on their own lives because caring for others is too much to handle, and some people regress to a younger mental state, or ‘little’ mode to escape their present, and I don’t blame them.
Hoarding biscuits and cookies in my room and eating some after school, while watching glitchy Freeview channels on the ~12inch CRT at the end of my bed, via a cheap indoor aerial. CBBC if I was lucky.

We all cope in our own ways, though many of those overlap. Looking back on 5 year increments of how I dealt with issues is interesting for me sometimes. 5, 10… not much awareness to outside things. 15,20 I dealt with things healthier than I do now at 35. 25 was my worst, 30 was a bit better, but not sure if I even having coping mechanisms now. I think I just spend hours filled with dread now haha
