Comment on We pay companies for products that we never truly own. When they mess-up, they decide what the mess-up is worth. If we mess-up and think we own their products, they can sue and put us in jail.

You’re moving the goalposts. The claim was that people are going to jail for “thinking they own a product they paid for.” Your example has nothing to do with that.
