Unfortunately you are correct with your last paragraph, and we are open to ways to help broach this issue.
I do agree a lot of the free speech forums did turn into massive echo chambers. But as far as I can tell it was because of lack of proper moderation and showed that the site admins and moderators were directing the conversations to that end.
Since we, meaning the people who participate as registered users, have it in our by-laws that we are apolitical and don’t choose left or right topics. We believe in the people having a voice and being heard. If you don’t like a post you don’t have to reply, we have a ranking system that will be tied into upvotes and downvotes on the subject matter. We do ask that you read the post before mashing upvote or downvote of course.

Please check our community page to see if we may have achieved what it was you were looking for us to avoid. As for the echo chamber affect, that will be caused by the user not our site.
