  Won’t complain if this inquiry means it makes a round in the news though. So many people have deluded themsleves the colonisers were nice people brining civilisation or some shit.

    I was born in England. Lived in Aus more than half my life now. A few years ago I drank in the same pub as another former English bloke. He got here as a 12 year old. We were talking about the Brits running rampant around the world back in the day.

    He said he was proud that “we” went around the world teaching the people about industry and all that. I’m like dude, “we” went around the globe raping and pillaging FFS.

    Sad that so many people don’t realise what went on. I have a half Aboriginal “friend” that brings up shit against the Brits, but he says it in a way that he blames me. I explained that I really wasn’t there. He says it doesn’t matter it was my lot…I don’t mix with him these days.
