Yeah, crazy the amount of effort they put into this, especially that this show didn’t really age well IMO. I loved it as a kid, but the tropes aren’t as funny anymore as an adult.

Something about the tropes are grandfathered into my brain. If a new romcom came out with a similar vibe I probably wouldn’t have bothered, but wrapping it in nostalgia hacks my brain.

It has to be the highest quality remake any anime has been given so far. One can only hope the new One Piece anime goes this hard
