Susan Alexandra “Sigourney” Weaver (/sɪˈɡɔːrni/ si-GOR-nee; born October 8, 1949) is an American actress. Prolific in film since the late 1970s, she is known for her pioneering portrayals of action heroines in blockbusters and for her various roles in independent films.[3][4][5]
