Snow hadn’t fallen yet but the cold was always familiar by then.

I had just started watching The Price Is Right.

I stopped the microwave at 00:00.

It was just me and my pastel blue plastic plate warmed by the cut up hot dog resting on top. Bob Barker called another constant down. I don’t remember what the showcase was that day but it’s a day I’ll never forget.
