Bookmarks lead to dead sites. Read-it-later services store content. I went to send a link to a friend last week and the source was gone. Luckily, I had the content stored and was able to copy / paste the original info to my friend after the domain expired. A bookmark doesn’t get the old data.

You can certainly do that, but read-it-later apps offer offline reading and other features that many people enjoy. It could be worth a second look, but if you have something that works for you, that’s great
