It is bullshit indeed. Especially now with AI, seemingly it would be relatively easier to throw in some adversarial llm in a game to keep a game engaging nowadays.
And imagine if other games started patenting systems like that: “Fatrolling is a unique movement system only found in FromSoftware games”. Soon there wouldn’t be anyone making games except for those with patents.
