Comment on Out of nowhere Torchlight 2 adds controller support
Kernal64@sh.itjust.works 1 week agoIn the Steam post about the new updates, the new dev team is pretty open about using AI, so it’s not putting words in anyone’s mouth. Just an FYI.
Another thing I found interesting is that these new devs are the same ones that work in Torchlight Infinite. I know that game wasn’t well received at launch, but if it’s still going, maybe they’ve fixed their issues, so there could be cause to be hopeful about them fiddling with the old games.

Why would they need to decompile it if they legally own it? Chances are they have the source code. The game isn’t so old that it would have been on a lost floppy disk or something.

Code for games is lost all the time. There isn’t a video game code vault somewhere it’s stored in.
