Absolutely, the first thing that came in my thoughts was"OMG what the duck are we doing that this is the solution".
Maybe I’ve day the aliens return when the intelligence finally evolves. Not my lifetime I bet .

I’m learning Mandarin and am very much into learning more about the culture but as a vegan it’s very hard to ignore their constant disregard for animal welfare.

Most of the uses for this, elephant tusks, tiger claws etc all boils down to fertility rituals and ancient medicines. It’s really sad. On one end they belive it’s real and are getting fleeced for problems we have already solved with science. On the other end poachers are killing these animals and themselves getting killed in places in Africa and India where endangered species are protected by shoot to kill Rangers who protect the animals at all costs. Nobody wins in this shit and it needs to stop. The Chinese demand needs to be addressed like they did with Japan and shark fin soup.
