It may be “blocked users” or users from a blocked instance (you blocked or sh.itjust.works blocked). Can you provide an example?

I only have one blocked user and no blocked instances. I’m going to check the language settings like others mentioned.

is that sync? sync has some issues with local communities. I think it might get better if you subscribe to the community.
compare with the web version to rule out account related issues.

Yeah it’s Sync and in my googling I discovered that it has been abandoned by the developer (unfortunate since I’ve been using it for around 2 years now). I installed Voyager and it is working fine now, though it will take some getting used to.
