  I guess they’re the members of each band that didn’t get as famous individually but who still do their thing as part of the band.

    Also the more accomplished musician of their duo. Kyle plays all the interesting guitar parts. Bret composed a film score.

      Kyle barely exists without Jack. Both Conchords are fully realized without the other; they’ve both had extremely successful careers.
