Comment on Why are people hyped about RSS regaining relevance?
uranibaba@lemmy.world 1 year agoThat would be great. Having to install Signal, Discord and WhatsApp is bad enough because of all the groups! Maybe it is time to create a new app that pulls in data from all other apps by their API.

@uranibaba There are apps like that but it's awful, breaks end-to-end encryption, lot's of missing features, etc. The key to interoperability is standards compliance. I make XMPP a hard requirement and pulled a lot of people in this way.
