Comment on In America, crisp is used to describe natural food that is very fresh or a nice, cold morning. But crispy is used to describe food that is cooked so long it's become crunchy.
But in the UK, is a crisp “crispy” or is “crisp” a derivative of another term or phrase?
It’s called a crisp because it’s crispy (at least to my knowledge).
