  I mean, no. But she’s saying she’s her own “reference”. She doesn’t walk around dressed like that on a regular basis (unless she does), artists create reference material for themselves all the time.

  In this case, Faves likely put on similar clothes to Makima, pulled them into the positions she wanted to draw them in, just for this one reference photo. This gave her a reference on what the wrinkles, lines, and shading would look like, allowing her to reference those real-world details when creating the art piece.
