- Disable secureboot so you don’t have to run a few commands and restart in order to sign keys
- Ensure your drives are formatted to a linux format to reduce headaches with steam libraries
- if the command starts with “sudo(superuser Do)” it’s time to read up on what each part of the command does exactly.
- Linux wants you to mount and unmount your drives(filesystems) manually. Plugging them in won’t instantly allow data transfer.
- Don’t be surprised that linux is a perfectly functional OS with fantastic UX and less day to day hassle and management compared to windows.

Stay away from HP. Secureboot will re-enable itself whenever it wants, and the kernel panic is scary if you don’t realize that’s what’s happening.
