    Chromebooks are cheap compared to average laptop but still expensice compared to identical laptops with same components. So I should have said overcharged instead of expensive.

    2GB chromebooks you can find on ebay are an exception as they are not getting any more updates soon.

      A standard issue laptop would be around 500 for mid range. Maybe prices have changed recently idk
