Lucky_777@lemmy.world 3 weeks agoTell them no of course lmao. I’ll get them McDs maybe once or twice a month. They usually get one day out of the month to go to McDs. Maybe another if they did something good at school or around the house.
Cutting out something completely isn’t the best practice, because when they finally do get freedom of choice. They over indulge. Same thing I do with soda. They’ll get a 12 pack a month of their favorite but that’s it.

Once or twice a month(!) is way too often to act like it’s not already an overindulgence. You’re either not aware of how harmful fast-food really is in 2025 or don’t know how to say no, but Christ, you’re already giving your kids that “Freedom of choice.”

Those warnings are everywhere in California.
Also, just about any fish you eat has mercury in it. That’s just eating fish.
All that said, McDonald’s food is shit.
I used to eat their breakfast and that likely has real eggs and stuff, but even when I ate it, it was often burnt or crappy in some way and certainly not worth the price.
