I hate its come to this.

Are you people actually stupid? Everyone thinking Americans just take this stuff are fucking dumb
In my life time protests have never stopped and sometimes they get stuff done. people have tried assassinating multiple presidents and members of Congress.
Just because YOU aren’t fighting doesn’t mean the rest of us aren’t.

I go to protests at my courthouse every week man. Like you said they never stop, but it also doesn’t stop what’s happening.
It hasn’t stopped what happened to the federal government, and it wouldn’t stop a military takeover of Canada. The kind of fighting we need is considered “disruptive” by almost everyone, and there’s never enough people willing to do it.

We’ve been extensively propagandized to believe that even the most modest forms of protest are high crimes punishable by death. Stop traffic? Die, scum. Flip over an empty cop car? Terrorists! Even standing around peacefully chanting and waving signs is often met with vitriolic reactions and observers wishing violence on the protestors for their inappropriate display. The only appropriate protest, according to how we’ve been propagandized, is one where you sit quietly in a closet for a few minutes after work, write in a journal, and tell nobody about it. If you protest and nobody notices, can you call it a protest?
