realitista@lemm.ee 5 days agoI think it’s a slightly different connotation. “China scientists” infers scientists residing in China while not presuming their ethnicity, while “Chinese scientists” implies their ethnicity but not their location.

You literally never hear “America scientists” even if some of them might be from another country. Same with every single other country I can think of, except China.
