MajesticElevator@lemmy.zip 6 days agoGeneralizing to the whole population isn’t called racism. About the other thing, I already made it clear it was a stereotype, and as such, not my true belief. Still, I think it’s worth noting.
I do think there’s more pedophilia there based on the fact that more media depict it and people aren’t really grossed out by it. I might be wrong though, I’m not basing myself on any fact, just intuition (except that iirc they had some problems with laws not being harsh enough on this subject)

Western pornography is often about “teens” who are “barely legal” because they just turned 18, and the younger they look the more popular they get. That’s also borderline pedophilia. I’m not saying this is wrong as long as it’s legal, but sometimes it feels icky. Loli is practically the same. I don’t believe that it means that Japan has more pedophiles.

Loli is a bit more extreme though, not teens but rather children 😵
I was also referring to the fact that sometimes, animes flat out state that they’re vastly underaged without even hiding, and it doesn’t really seem criticized. But yea, it’s a bit disgusting and they must have they target audience
