  Covid was a glimpse.

  I had coworkers who left small towns because they were Asian. Imagine being Filipino and having racists shout Chinaflu at you. Every single Asian person I met has a story.

  I also had a friend disown their parents because they harassed a Thai family all during covid, calling them child smugglers. I’ve met these people, and they were perfectly wonderful 15 years ago. Just oblivious racists.
