Comment on Valve is changing Steam's homepage discounts and events section to go the way of the algorithm to get you to look at, and buy, obviously, more games

Unnecessarily negative article, with factual errors even. Feels like the author has an axe to grind.

Speaking of: “We don’t have a definite date for implementing these changes and are still tuning the details, but we wanted to set expectations. We don’t believe this will be perfect right away, but we are confident the new system will result in better outcomes for customers and developers and are eager to share all the details once we have them.” Here’s hoping the lack of perfection won’t screw up any smaller developer’s days.

Oh, would you prefer Steam declare their changes perfect before they’ve even been released, and refuse to accept any feedback?

Underneath the ad banner for whoever paid to be there for that day

Steam doesn’t sell advertising, dumbass.

Just read the actual announcement from Steam, it’s short and sweet.
