hoshikarakitaridia@lemmy.world 1 month ago5 star anime imo. They perfectly capture the vibe of speed runners. How as a pro you do the werdest shit to increase efficiency, but it’s second nature to you, and how you get that love hate relationship with a game.

I wouldn’t even say it’s a speedrunner vibe specifically. The anime is simply showing that the author actually cares about how good video games are made and all the different types of players that get drawn to them. The weirdos, the pro players, the collectors, the addicts, the laid-back types and the lore geeks… Anyone who enjoyed playing any video game ever would see at least one relatable character.
