Pointing out the obvious that I have seen in multiple places–not just news on social media, but my local news on TV, and many other places using a Reddit post–that is impossible to verify whether it was made up or not-as a source for ‘content’. But even if it was false and just propaganda, I don’t think the right are capable of interpreting this as you described. (I purposely don’t look for these connections because I make it a point to ignore politics as a whole, and even after pointing it out, I still don’t care).
A factually true story can still be propaganda. And yes, the right is actually constantly masturbating to stories like this.
“All these spoiled rotten kids think they’re entitled to all these handouts! Back in my day… we got a tiny piece of cheese and if we asked for more, we got beat! Parents these days are all so soft and…” etc, etc.
I literally hear this shit every day, all day.
Just because you might exist in an echo chamber, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.
As I stated, i don’t really care. Never said it isn’t happening.
