Are they Broadcom based?
If they aren’t you might be able to get the Linux kernel running on them. Openwrt would be much better.

They use the Realtek 838x and 839x and I saw on a blog post from someone they were able to get OpenWrt running on them but no PoE, no fan, no LEDs working at that time. I don’t see them on the compatible hardware list as of now so I imagine it’s just a case of there’s very few people looking at this. In a perfect world I’d love to get something like OpenWrt running so I don’t have to use a firewall rule to block them and just manage them in a more normal way.
