BurgerBaron@quokk.au 1 week ago That’s something I have to look into more because I don’t know the full truth yet regarding if the TV connects to unsecure WiFi networks from neighbouring houses or if that was just theoretically possible and getting parroted as if it was actually already happening. I have a newer LG that just sits on HDMI 3 and never connected to the internet….that I know of.
Edit: I think the actually connecting to unsecure wifi is misinformation. The source is a reddit comment, Gamer’s Nexus didn’t say that.

Yeah it’s probably theoretical. But why? I just want a screen, a big rectangular pattern of flashing lights. I love technology when it’s an improvement but so much recently has been degraded and companies basing saying “deal with it”
