Everyone that says the NES was dominant only say that because they come of gaming age after Atari gloriously footgunned themselves, leaving the field open for Japanese companies since the prominent American one basically killed itself. They’re basically two different eras of gaming (80’s vs 90’s), though the lines are more blurred than defined.
