This week was almost entirely about the manager and Obata, which was surprising but sensible from a storytelling perspective to give more options for development and storylines.

Discounting the smoking thing (I avoided it for the longest time solely because I find smoking disgusting), it’s an uplifting and excellent slow burn cross-generational slice of life romance, IMHO. I get how it might put some off, but I’m surprised by how much I love it.
