“Allowed to win” implies they’re actually trying to win rather than simply being “controlled opposition” for the Republican party to make elections appear legitimate.

Interesting that people believe we’re still gonna have elections where Dems can win.

Yeah, I kinda assumed all elections from here on out will be like Russia: you can vote for whoever you want, but it won’t count and you’re going to get a visit afterwards.

I wish its a Russia situation, at least then I can claim political asylum in EU.
Nope, we’re getting a Turkey situation, where the world still recognize the US as a democracy. So no political asylum to the EU lol.
(But also, people in Turkey have Schengen access, US citizens don’t have such a thing. So its like Turkey minus Schengen, even worse than Turkey lol)

Political asylum for being in an undemocratic nation, does that happen? I want to learn.

Its one of the requirements for political asylum.
For example:
Protesters in Tianamen Square in 1989 (some fled to the US)
Falun Gong practicitioners
Hong Kong Protesters
You have to have a lot of documentations, you can’t just show up at the border and claim it.
If you country is recognized as a democratic country, your chances drop to almost zero. I literally have never hears of anyone from a western democratic country getting political asylum to another western democracic country.
