Probably true. A lot of the fans, like me, are from day one and never left.

Eldritch@lemmy.world 4 weeks agoIt’s a byproduct of the week to non-existent DRM and copy protection. It takes zero modding to run Homebrew Etc on them. So The Homebrew Community got started early and built up fairly large and diverse. With such lower barriers to entry.
I picked up one for around $50 I think when they were blowing them out at Best Buy to get rid of their inventory. Still use it from time to time. It was a great little system.

We got so much use out of the Dreamcast. I bought one, downloaded every NES game ever made, burned it on a disc and that disc never left the console. It was a Nintendo machine. I miss it.
