It has been reported that two of the data cables were severed and the other two damaged. And the dragging track might be up to 100 km long.

Oh come on… It could be an honest mistake: who hasn’t forgotten to hoist a multi-ton anchor or two before setting sail when going boating on occasion?

That’s pretty much what their lawyer said. The lawyer said that oil tanker only cares about getting their cargo from point a to point b as quickly as possible, and that they would have no intention of losing their anchor.

Yeah but the argument falls flat on it face when you consider that dragging a an anchor on the seabed isn’t exactly the best way to go from point A to point B quickly, and someone would have noticed that the handbrakes were on so-to-speak if they cared that much about shipping speed.
