jrgd@lemm.ee 1 month agoYou use Steam for games on Linux primarily. Independent native games exist as well. Many Windows-only titles will be best run through Proton: Valve’s modified WINE bundle. Other store titles can be configured to run through WINE or Proton via apps like Lutris or Heroic (GOG, Itch.io, Epic Games, etc.).

Not every game that uses anti-cheat, there’s plenty that do run fine in Linux, but the major ones it’s unsupported. Technically the games run, and run really well, it’s just you’ll get banned for running under Linux. The big ones I’m aware of that don’t work are Valorant, GTA5, Destiny 2, LoL, and Apex Legends.
