I thought Cliff was chosen as the runner because he knows some speed-boosting magic or stealth magic, but nope, he’s just legging it 🗿
Wouldn’t it make more sense to have Elinalise do the running while Cliff stay behind to help Rudeus with the fighting? Or is Cliff totally useless in combat despite his past brags?
Also, has Rudeus given up on wielding a sword? I thought the common trope in such fantasy stories is to be a swordsman who uses magic.
Maybe they only explained how to use and cultivate that plant to Cliff
