Can you eat it?
You can mostly remove the toxins by boiling these but they’re still mildly toxic and aren’t generally considered tasty. Plus the cap is sticky so it usually has a layer of dirt and moss growing on it.
They apparently eat them picked in Russia.
That explains the dirty look.
