  ?? It's done by mysqldump from within the backup function. Automation can be done by using a cron job. Or do you refer to something else?

      @𝓒𝓱𝓻𝓲𝓼 Write an appropriate shell script and add it to your crontab. Everyday admin jobs. I cannot explain it deeper in detail here.
