KeithD@lemmy.nz 2 weeks agoI wouldn’t be surprised to learn that there are bribes from the US oil industry involved in that decision, because that’s one of the main groups profiting off the current US fuckup in the middle-east.

Many of them are heavily invested in Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. While they benefit elsewhere, I’m not sure it offsets their now stranded assets.
