So on that note, maybe the Kin clan has been constantly giving Reirin these “gifts”.

I think it’s not the Kin clan in the same way it likely wasn’t the Kin clan that made Leelee do what she did. The 2nd one coming from Shu, makes me suspect the 1st one also came from her and also that she’s Gayou.
