I get what you mean but your numbers feel like they are from 30 years ago. I don’t think anyone is expected to be on their own at 18 or even after college anymore outside of the dickish parent. I think its just drags on the individual if it drags into the 30’s or worse reverts in the 30’s. I was not really independent till 28 and that was long ago and I still ended up living with a relative for short spates on two more occasions. one was when I was almost 40 and married.
