If that’s not a colossally big red flag I don’t know what is, especially considering Origins had pretty good combat and everything else since has been “meh” at best.

What a shit article, it goes all the way until the end to just briefly mention the goblin game in the title. Fuck RPS.
On that note, the goblin maid game looks fun and cute. Seems like a more polished version of Viscera Cleanup.
- Comment on Sun Haven is for Stardew Valley fans that want more and it now has controller support 2 weeks ago:
Eh, I dunno man, it kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth to support games with tons of DLC even if just cosmetic, the game has to be really good to compensate and even then I’m not a fan of it. I miss the times when cosmetics like this would be locked behind an in-game challenge or achievement.

Holy shit, I was thinking about getting this game. Guess I’m taking it off my wishlist.
- Comment on 'Does Everyone Hate Real World?': Ghost In The Shell: Arise Director Bemoans The Rise Of Isekai Anime 1 month ago:
For real though, isekai for me is like an instant pass nowadays. I don’t mind fantasy anime, but the “hurr durr I’m a highschool loser that died and woke up in an MMO world” has to be the most creatively bankrupt genre of modern anime/manga and I really don’t understand the appeal, especially when 90% of them are just variations of generic Dragon Quest tropes. You can make escapist fiction without having to resort to beating a dead horse that has been dead, buried and decomposed for at least a decade now.
And now that I think about it, do these isekai animes and mangas even sell that well to justify making so many of them? There’s no way Japanese audiences aren’t also getting sick of them to at least some extent despite how many of these still keep getting made.
He further criticized modern anime for incorporating game-like elements without logical in-universe explanations.
“Recent anime works will show things like a level-up gauge that appears when characters tap the air, even though there’s no in-setting reason for them to have a personal interface like that. I may just be getting old, but it really makes me wonder: ‘What is going on here?’ It just doesn’t work for me.“
I couldn’t agree more. It just goes to show how little thought and care is put into the setting and world building of these shows, there’s no craft behind most of these, they’re just following trends it feels like.

That hit me hard as well, fuck me I had invested so much time and effort into that horse and those bastards killed my girl.

To be honest the horse mechanics in RDR2 are very in-depth, you have to manage their fear, stamina, weight, cleanliness and so forth… I never understood why some people cared about the realistic aspects of horses in games until I played it, it really adds to the immersion compared to something like Skyrim’s horses that are just bikes on legs.

- Comment on Morrowind is overly Morrowind 2 months ago:
I’m referencing the Nerevarine prophecy which states that the reincarnated Nerevar would restore the worship of the original gods and drive out the outlanders from Morrowind, it’s basically an ethnostate by that point. What I find most bizarre is the fact that the player is basically responsible for destroying Vvanderfell after killing Vivec and causing the Red Year, I don’t remember if it’s ever implied in the game that that’s going to happen, but in retrospect you’re not really the hero of the story, you basically killed everyone post-credits lol.
- Comment on Morrowind is overly Morrowind 2 months ago:
The world building in Morrowind is what makes it my favorite TES game, it’s so distinct to any other fantasy game. One of my favorite aspects is how Vvanderfell has its own versions of the mainland guilds AND the mainland guilds themselves competing with their Dunmer counterparts, there’s an Imperial cult presence but the Temple also exists… It’s a very insular world with a very distinct culture and everyone just fucking hates you for no reason. It’s great.
Even the main quest is kind of bonkers when you think about it, the end goal is basically overthrowing the government and installing a Dunmer ethno state… And the Emperor is fine with it lol.
- Comment on Dr Robotnik's Ring Racers is a gorgeous free SNES-style arcade racer, built using Doom Legacy 2 months ago:
My understanding is that they reconciled both names some time ago, the character’s in-universe real name is Dr. Ivo Robotnik and Eggman is the moniker he’s known for.
- Comment on YouTube Tests Showing Ads When You Pause a Video, Calls it ''Pause Ads'' 2 months ago:
An ad isn’t going to convince me to buy anything.
That’s what you think. But it stays in your subconscious and whenever you may need something related to that ad your brain might remember it and influence your actions. You’re only truly immune to ads if you completely avoid them, which is impossible in modern society, you’re constantly being subconsciously influenced by them whether you like it or not.
