I indeed had never heard of it, but now I have! I looks like a great suit of tools!
What’s your experience using it?

Where does it say that specifically? The table is not mobile friendly.
According to e/os themselves, it is degoogled…

How is it not degoogled?

Exactly this!

For me any concerns about e/os are overshadowed by buying one of the most sustainable and “ethical” phones there are currently available, and not supporting google.

I’m running e/os on my FP6 and it’s a great de googled alternative!

That’s hilarious. I never heard of German chocolate cake. Black forest though is dope!

That I completely agree with and concede the point.

My point is that US people tend to claim ownership to a lot of things that were not invented there. I’m all for sharing culture and food and transforming them to something new, but don’t claim they are your invention.
Like as american as apple pie is an expression for a dish from Germany and the Netherlands.

Literary all of those dishes have origins outside of the US lol

My main issue with peertube is that I find it confusing. Its not self contained in the sense on how to subscribe to channels or people. AFAIK you also need a mastodon account for it and to jump through some hoops to subscribe to a creator.

The current meat industry is already dystopian as fuck, no need to imagine it.

A bunch of year ago, but I never noticed it. But in the spirit of the post I wouldn’t have to worry about knowing how to handle those guns anyway.

Its been 40 years and still have not come across one after having lived in multiple south american and European countries.

Doesn’t make it ethical. It was still trained on stolen data, and took an inordinate amount of water and energy to train it.

From a practical standpoint it’s secure enough for me, and I value the fair sourcing of components and labor a lot more than the little I am losing on security.

I agree, that’s why I have a Fairphone. It’s a way to minimize that impact.

Plus their mission to try to make a phone with fair materials and compensation in their entire production chain. Is it perfect, of course not, but a lot better than all other brands.

That’s keeps the used price for pixels high, which encourages people to buy new pixels cause they know it has a good resale market.

Just give google more money, no thanks. Fairphone with lineage OS is a better option in my opinion.
