Can I just ask, because I find it confusing, so both lemmy.zip and piefed.zip are hosted by a UK company, but lemmy.zip blocks UK IP addresses, while piefed.zip doesn’t. What is the rationale behind these decisions? I would get lemmy.zip’s UK block if it wasn’t run by a UK company, because that law is indeed bullshit, but I can’t figure out the reason for discrepancy between the two servers. (Not that I’m arguing that piefed.zip should block UK IP’s too, I rather enjoy using the site :) )

yeah, it’s reasonably good, only struggles with more niche searches - when I search for seemingly unrelated topics it often falls back to showing ~5 generic links for one of the topics, then ~5 generic links for the other, but if I search for the same with Google &udm=14, it finds the specific niche topic I was looking for
