@RanaldClouston @bookstodon After seeing the movie "Troy" and "Odysseus" I read Pat Barker's "Silence of the girls" (Dutch version). In the movies, Troy plays a central role as in the book. The difference is that in the book the story is told through the eyes of Briseïs from Lyrnessus, captured by the Greeks.

Characters in the movies are often depicted as heroes, this book shows those characters seen through women's eyes were far from being heroe-like.

A good way to calibrate one's viewpoint.

@BlindAllDay @dhamlinmusic @main @mastoblind @bookstodon Me, not visually impaired, wondering about the following. Which depends on the question if you for example use your index finger for reading? If so, does it become too sensitive after a while of reading?
When I read I often use my index finger to follow along my reading. After a while it becomes so sensitive it is an irritating sensation.
