- Comment on Apple executives ban Fortnight from the App store 3 days ago:
All bootloaders should be able to be unlocked and able to install the OS of your choice. Also you should be able to choose whatever app store you want. It is your hardware, you payed for it.

It does feel better on the SteamDeck.
- Comment on Ori studio in crisis: No Rest For The Wicked could be their final game 1 week ago:
I’ve played it. Artwork is beautiful, but controls are wonky, hard to get used to on PC, and the gameplay unnecessarily punishing. It doesn’t feel good to play.
- Comment on Ori studio in crisis: No Rest For The Wicked could be their final game 1 week ago:
Maybe they should take the feedback from reviews and incorporate that into their updates. It’s not just that you are being review bombed by unreasonable people, it’s that people feel the game has problems that aren’t being addressed. I agree it is difficult to recover from a bad release because first impressions are everything. Companies can recover and have, take No Man’s Sky for an example.
- Comment on Forget foldable phones – LG's 'stretchable' in-car display can grow physical buttons when you need them, and I can't stop watching it 1 week ago:
I’m not in the market for a new car, but how about features that enhance operator focus, and reduce blind-spots. Less distractions.
- Comment on U.S. seeks breakup of Google's ad-tech products after judge finds illegal monopoly 1 week ago:
The organization needs to dump it’s management and go back to it’s roots. Stop being shitty and be the desktop people want.
- Comment on Valve rolls out SteamVR 2.10 with quick recenter, reduced controller and physics jitter and Linux fixes 1 week ago:
SteamVR crashes when selecting desktop view. Store doesn’t display, just a black screen. Library views fine.

I didn’t like the game, not my kind of play. Glad others love it though.
- Comment on A List of Social Media Platforms that Still Permit Free-Speech 3 weeks ago:
Free but accountable speech. Nobody should want a forum without moderation, it would be a toxic mess.
- Comment on Oblivion Remastered Impressions (and Discussion Thread) 3 weeks ago:
I like the remaster, it plays much better than the original of course. The graphics at first were really sluggish/choppy, but i found disabling the steam overlay fixed it for me.

- Comment on Australian comedian ditches US trip due to concern she could be denied entry over Trump jokes 5 weeks ago:
Denied entry isn’t a big deal. Being detained for weeks/months for criticizing the orange mobster would be.
- Comment on Shopify CEO tells teams to consider using AI before growing headcount 1 month ago:
The only thing that matters is creating value for the share-holder (this is how public corporations work). If you can convince the share-holders that AI can perform the job better than executives, they will demand executives and their board of directors be replaced on the spot. Share-holders care about one thing, maximizing profits. They will never favour the average employee as they see them as red numbers on the balance sheet. All the employees need to do is buy up all the shares and they can make this happen. Pretty unlikely scenario unfortunately, but one can dream.
- Comment on LibreOffice downloads on the rise as users look to avoid subscription costs | The free open-source Microsoft Office alternative is being downloaded by nearly 1 million users a week 1 month ago:
Open office isn’t getting much in the way of updates these days and is considered dormant and maintained by the Apache foundation. Libre-office is the office suite maintained by the document foundation and is where the bulk of developers moved over to.

Make sure to not just cancel, but remove your credit card info so they can’t charge your card anyway. Disney+ tried that on me.

Time to try Matrix again.
- Comment on You should swap your work or gaming monitor for a pair of AR glasses, and I'm not joking 2 months ago:
I’ve a pair of Rokid’s and think the technology isn’t there yet. It’s fuzzy around the edges, making reading difficult and a pain. You want to turn your head to get a better look in order to read, but of course it is stuck in place in front of your face so impossible. It is also uncomfortable to wear longer than ten minutes as it causes impressions on your nose bridge. Not worth the price or pain. Maybe in another ten years i’d look into it again.
